With the recent BK filing in San Bernardino, it looks like this whole event may be in jeopardy.

Any insight Rusty? If it goes to Glen Helen, would that rule out a model contest?

I sure hope they can save it downtown. It's a fun event.

Hey All,
What I can tell you is that things are very fluid right now. The information I have as of right now is no decision has been made one way or another. I am waiting right now for an update. The CVB has been very good at providing us news as things develop. I can tell you this, they are doing everything they can to insure the event happens.
As far as what happens to the model contest should the event move? I'm not sure. That is one of many details that are trying to be worked out. I know they want to keep the contest, the big issue is if there are facilities at Devore to house it. I will update as I can.

We just got the final word.

The Route 66 Rendezvous IS staying downtown and will not be moving to Devore.
