How about if I spin a story and build a model to fit it. Early 1960's, up in the high desert, the new car lot manager wanted to get some publicity. Ford was bringing out some new drag race cars that could help make a mark. He'd need a transporter for the new race car but the budget was pretty tight there at Desert Motors in Ridgecrest. Out back was the old shop pickup, a burned down bobtail and a rolled low mileage 56. Time to put the shop to work. The bobtail's running gear, the 312 and front seat of the 56, and the old pickup's cab. At least the budget allowed for buying the new transporter bed. The next part of the project will be the racer. I wonder what they might come up with? You do realize this is all a fantasy project - right? By the way, they could probably build the real ones faster than I'll get the models done! Brian

Sound like this will keep me in suspense more than my favorite tv show..."LOST". Tom

Nice work so far Brian. I alike the little story that goes along with it. It gives it just a little more personality.
