Hey Guys This is our itinerary for that weekend: We are going to be getting into town very late on Friday. We are staying at the Motel 6 just off the I-10 on E Redlands Blvd. This is just south of the Mall the show is at. We are going to get to the contest at opening time. We are planning on taking off after a little model BSing with you all and will be going to the NHRA Museum. Then we are planning on stopping at Pegasus on the way back. Then being back at the show just before 4:00. After the show. we are going to go to dinner, then head on out that night, back home. If any of you at any of these times would like to join with us and we all hang out. We would love that. We can also throw in Breakfast that morning if anyone would like to do that. These plans are VERY loose for us. We are also throwing in a little bit of "Playing it all by ear as we go" into the factor. If ya know what I mean. You can get in touch with me at any time now or that day at 602-672-0816. We are looking forward to seeing you guys and ......maybe..... taking some awards home from you guys WHO KNOWS?? LOL! No really. We have such a fun time out there with you guys. the 5 of us are really starting to get excited about going. we can't wait. OH YEA, we also want to present DJ with his Model Car Mafia board award. So we will throw that in when ever it works out for DJ and everyone. See ya all in LESS two weeks. Matt

Hey Matt,
It's always wise to plan ahead... And for that reason, I thought I'd let you know I'm a volunteer for the NHRA Museum. So what does that mean to you & the "mofia"..?
Well, the LA County Fair is going on right now & the Museum is part of it... Sooo if you want to visit the Museum, you'll need to pay admission to the fair, plus parking, plus a dollar admit to the Museum itself. Once there you will NOT find the sleepy car shrine you've come to know but a more crowded affair..! In short, I doubt you'll find it the best time to attend..!
May I offer an alternative..? Pegasus hobby is having their model meet / cruise night on Sat. 20th. from 7pm to...? I know I think it would be less expensive & much more enjoyable to attend that insted... And while I can't attend the the Rte. 66 event, I hope to be at Pegasus... Admission is free & you may bring old or shelf models or whatever you choose, even if it's just to shot the sh!t & you never know who'll show up...
In any event, hope to see ya there, good luck & watch out as you might see some really sharp looking fuel altereds show up..! Hizoot

More food for thought for the Mafia - If you go to the Pegasus model meeting (which begins around 7:00pm) you get 10% off your purchase. Again - just food for thought. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Saturday. I hope you enjoy the Model Contest and the approx. 2000 hot rods at this event. You will have a lot of walking around to do.

If they are staying on E Redlands Blvd. the best place would probably be at Cocos on the Corner of Tennessee and Colton. It is right off the off ramp on Tennesee. South of the freeway. You will need to meet by 7:30 am if you want to be done and over to the Mall with a few minutes to spare.

There are a few Places on Hospitality, but keep in mind, the closer you get to Berdoo, the bigger the crowds.

The Travelodge is on E Street just south of W. Orange Show rd. This is just about a mile south of the Mall. There is a Denny's on the corner of E street and W. Orange Show. How does that sound. Give us a time. We will meet you guys. Matt

Modeltech0 - the show does not start at 9:00am. 9:00am is when I need the volunteers to show up. We start accepting entries at 10:00am.

Fuelish is going to pick up tables and the kits from Stashers place. I will be calling everyone. Bring folding chairs if you have them.
