Wow..!
That's AMAZING how you bend up & cut all that into shape. That's the kinda thing you need to love to do. Looks like a huge amount of work but I'd like to know how you do it..! PS- don't let Col.Klinc near it..!Hizoot

I think it was Hogan and his bunch that kept blowing things up. And this is a Nitro burner LOL.

Bob...This is going to be too cool...Will it debut at the Cactus Classic?...Did you decide if it will be Chrisman's Sidewinder or Force's Night Stalker? ...I am kinda pissed off as I write this, becauase i was in the process of uploading my pics to post on the board but some idiot ( Tomas Jr no doubt) deleted them from my camera. It was WIP shots of my altered wheelbase 65 Dodge Coronet. I will post pcs of the now completed build very soon...Tom

Hey now, Fuelish,Thank you. I only had Hot Rod mag. article and I recently found one more pic. on google. What made me decide to do this were the two slides Jay Kamoto? mailed to me. These were take around 1972 I would guess at a So. Cal. Car Show. I took the slides to Ritz Camera store and they transfered over to 6x4 prints which came out beautiful. Also , Thank You for the sketches you drew out of the pillow blocks for the rear end they were a big help. Bob

Hizoot, Thanks. Hey you know me, I'm a cheapie I don't like to buy Aftermarket if I don't have to LOL. To scratch build is the biggest challenge for me( Can I scratch build it? Hmmm?). Thats what I always ask myself. I'll post some WIP on other projects later. I learned to build chassis' from a guy named "Thumper"his tutorials are on this website. Here's some bends and cuts for you and Shultz of my Chip King ProMod, enjoy.

Hey Now, Tom, sorry to hear about your pics. would love to see your WIP. I like enjoy your builds, nice paint jobs too. Yes I'm trying to get this one ready for the Cactus Classic, and yes it will be the "Jack Chrisman Sidewinder". From what I've read on Jack Chrisman, This guy is a real pioneer of Drag Racing, I can only hope the I can do him some justice by building this model of his Mustang. Bob

Hey now, Update on Sidewinder f/c, Got the front-end of the chassis painted. I used enamel Rust. Never again!! I forgot about the waiting period for enamel to dry, Had the chassis in the dehydrator for 4 days and I still wasn't happy with it, I didn't want to clear with enamel so I tried Krylon Acrylic clear, I'm still not happy with it but , It is what it is . I'm not going to strip and repaint with lacquer but I learned my lesson( enamel for small parts only.) Anyways enjoy. More to come later. Bob
